the first ‘failed’ attempt was me. actually, someone called me on the other line as i was about to leave a messege- and i had to change lines to answer it. when i came back – your machine had hung up on me. it was a failure of the machine, you see. the second non-messege leaver was not me at all.

It’s a culturally-biased test– you are totally excluding the Luddites.
