Scanner Woes

If you’re like me, you’re looking for a scanner that can accommodate 11×17 pages (original comic book art size). And you will find two options: a $200 model available only in the US, and a $2000 model available in Canada. PISS ME OFF.

Meanwhile I also need a colour printer and a flash drive, if anyone has any leads before I head down to FutureShop/Best Buy.

Amazon.com will ship to Canada. You just won’t get free shipping.

Sadly that doesn’t seem to be the case:

    # Product Dimensions: 16 pounds
    # Shipping Weight: 14.00 pounds (View shipping rates and policies)
    # Shipping: Currently, item can be shipped only within the U.S.

Well those bastards. Time to get someone you know that’s nearby in the US to get it delivered to them and then bring it up. If you don’t have anyone handy, I know someone from Bellingham who comes to visit his girlfriend (now fiancee) almost every week. You could have it shipped to his place.

Make sure you check out craigslist for scanners too. Right now there is an 8.5 x 14 with a negative scanner as well for it. Here’s the link:
