Hi there, thanks for bringing up your visit to BC Sushi. We are concerned with senseless slaughter of sharks worldwide, and keep a list of Vancouver area restaurants we know of that sell shark fin soup or sushi.

i love sharks and have since i was seven despite the film Jaws scaring the utter crap out of me a few years earlier.

the most depressing thing i saw was a documentary about Mexican fishermen catching sharks to sell to the Chinese/Japanese market. all they wanted was the fins. they’d catch the shark, hack off the fins then dump the rest.

if you wonder why i hate humanity, that would be an excellent example.

Great advice and words to live by. I saw a movie recently called Sharkwater which gives some good background on this terrible problem.

Also avoid Chilean Sea Bass!!
