When ‘Elf’ Was A Class

Last night we played 1st edition D&D. I was a dwarf by the name of Flapgar Trundlebig. We made up characters, gathered rumours at the tavern, and entered the erstwhile dwarf ‘mine’ now overrun with goblins. It was pretty fun and we played until Kelly started falling asleep. Actually we played well past when Kelly started falling asleep. The 1st edition rules are by no means elegant ( THAC0), but they are simple, which is definitely refreshing.

That sounds like a lot of fun. You are a lucky, lucky guy to have such great friends, especially the friend who DMed. That friend is a friend indeed.
